Summer Never Ends in Boracay, Malay, Aklan

Every year my extended family and I always find time to travel together. This year we were lucky to get free hotel stay and promo airfare. This is my first time to visit the world-acclaimed island. I finally understand why it's so popular. The long stretches of beach, super fine sand and the crystal clear water. It is indeed a summer haven. Consequently, our stay happened at the same time tropical storm Paolo was passing by the Philippines on its way to Japan. Although it didn't really affect our travel but there were sporadic rain showers and strong winds.

The grotto is perched on top of really sharp rocks. The waves hit these rocks and
pointed edges make these droplets of water. I happen to catch one before it drops.
Overall, our four days and three night stay in Boracay was still short especially since there are so many things left to do and so little time to enjoy each and everything. Next time, I visit, I'll try the Romblon route since it is just an island away.

I wasn't planning on taking this shot but I liked it because of its detail and angle.
This was taken while the waves was hitting me hard on my face during paraw-sailing.

The roots of this plant grows inside the sharp rocks of the Grotto.
Despite the winds and waves this small leaf manages to grow beautifully.

Every morning the beach is littered by these sea grass and they are swept
by the beachfront owners so that guests can swim and frolick in the beach.

If you watch closely in the small pools found on top of the grotto,
there are small animals like this crab and small fish as well that live in its crevices.

This is a centerpiece I found in the dining area of Astoria Hotel, Station 1.
