Do You Pay Attention? Series 2

I was walking along the parking lot and I noticed the plants growing nearby. It's been raining a lot this week and these small flowers appear to be very resilient of the weather. I caught a bonus by spotting a grasshopper on top of a blade of grass. Tis' a lovely day.

Summer Never Ends in Boracay, Malay, Aklan

Every year my extended family and I always find time to travel together. This year we were lucky to get free hotel stay and promo airfare. This is my first time to visit the world-acclaimed island. I finally understand why it's so popular. The long stretches of beach, super fine sand and the crystal clear water. It is indeed a summer haven. Consequently, our stay happened at the same time tropical storm Paolo was passing by the Philippines on its way to Japan. Although it didn't really affect our travel but there were sporadic rain showers and strong winds.

Walking On A Cloud in Mt. Ulap

My fifth and so far the best mountain I've climbed is Mount Ulap in Benguet. The weather is perfect. It was breezy and cool but not too cold that it bothers you or too hot that it sticks. There are three peaks for this mountain. Even if it is just considered one mountain, it is by far the longest time I've spent climbing and I have four already in my belt by this time.

I didn't get to take lots of photos because I was busy climbing but when I have a chance or if I find something that catches my eye, I documented it.

So here you go folks, my collection of Philippine flora that I've documented while walking on a cloud in Mt. Ulap.

Do You Pay Attention?

When I walk along the busy streets of the metro, I notice a lot of people not paying attention. In the train, almost everybody is in front of their mobile phones or listening to music. In the restaurants, people are not talking to each other.

Let's Paint The Town During Color Run 2017

Every year its tradition for my sister and I to join at least one marathon. I have conquered the 10K challenge but I had to go back to 5K because that's the longest this run gives. I only joined this run because a friend egged me to do so.

I did my best to run seriously but there were too many distractions and too many temptations every kilometer. So after two kilometers of hesitation, I decided to join the bandwagon. However, I did not stop for the usual traps. No dear, I stopped for the chance to take photos of the flora that usually is inaccessible to me as a pedestrian. The fire trees in red, orange and yellow that line the streets. How I wish they will grow more of these trees. Our country might even have something to compete with the cherry blossoms. Don't believe me? Wait, till you see these photos then...

My Sundate at the Windz Farm in Guiguinto, Bulacan

The Windz Farm is a privately-owned farm and entrance is by invitation only. The owner is a friend of mine from the PSI community. Nonetheless, I am very happy that my experience of Guiguinto, Bulacan is made especially memorable by visiting this farm. I cannot wait to share with you, although it's just a few, the photos I have collected in this brief "sundate".

Have you been to Mount Monalmon & Mount Gola?

I visited these mountains on the first weekend of September 2017 after two rainy weekends. Luckily, the weather is better but not necessarily cooler. There are advantages of climbing on a precipitous day, same goes for a sunny one.

I noticed that I had less accidents in this trip. I definitely did not wish also to detach my feet due to intense pain which was what almost dissuaded me from trying this activity again. However, as the cliche goes, "No pain, no gain."

I was more focused on surviving a.k.a ascending and descending properly. Hence, I had less time to take photos for this blog. Nonetheless, I've captured enough to make one blog. Here goes...

Mount Talamitam Is My Maiden Mountain. What's Yours?

Look, I'd really like to share details just like travel blogs but I am sure you will find loads of blogs like that available already. I am not sure though if you can find one similar to what I will post below because I did try to look for one.

So let's keep this very simple. I'd like to share photos from my first hike and these are macro-shots of plants and insects I found. These photos have been taken by an unprofessional photographer who just loves to document her travels.

If that's what you want to see, then feel free to scroll below.

Why I'm Travel Blogging Now after Ten Years of Travelling

Well, why not?

Well, seriously its because I usually travel with my family and I consider it something very personal. Thus, unless I feel a strong, compelling reason to share personal photos of my family then that's the only time I'd share it to the public. I would prefer to share with you though photos of majestic landscapes and captivating events that urged me to stop and capture that moment using my handy-dandy point and shoot camera. Although, I finally purchased a DSLR camera which I have yet to unbox and read the manual.
